  15.       3 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS SOFTWAREVAULT CD-ROM

  18.       1. There are  a few ways you can  run SoftwareVAULT from
  19.          either the  CD-ROM directly or from  your hard drive,
  20.          depending  on your  preferences. Read  below to learn
  21.          your options.
  22.  
  23.       2. This product is  a collection of "shareware" programs
  24.          and resources. Please  contact the respective authors
  25.          of each  program to register your  copy and to obtain
  26.          specific technical support for any program.
  27.  
  28.       3. Digital  Impact will offer technical  support for the
  29.          SoftwareVAULT Librarian  program, but is  not able to
  30.          offer  help  with  the  individual shareware programs
  31.          included on this disc.

  43.            YOUR OPTIONS ON HOW TO RUN SOFTWAREVAULT

  46.  The  rich contents  of this  SoftwareVAULT CD-ROM  are accessed  by
  47.  running the  program called the  SoftwareVAULT Librarian, which  is
  48.  available on the CD-ROM in versions for Windows 3.x and Windows 95.
  49.  Though you can  easily run the Librarian  directly from the CD-ROM,
  50.  you may prefer to run it on your hard drive.  Running the Librarian
  51.  from your  hard drive may result in better  overall performance and
  52.  and doing  so allows you to save  user-specific  configuration data 
  53.  for use in subsequent sessions.

  55.     Important notes regarding the SoftwareVAULT Librarian

  57.     You will need at least 15.0 MB of free disk space to install the
  58.     SoftwareVAULT Librarian and its data files to your hard disk.

  60.  INSTRUCTIONS ON RUNNING SOFTWAREVAULT
  61.  Following  are  instructions  on   how  to  run  the  SoftwareVAULT
  62.  Librarian... ... from the CD-ROM in Windows 3.x ...  from your hard
  63.  drive in Windows 3.x  ...  from the CD-ROM in Windows 95  ...  from  
  64.  your hard drive in Windows 95.

  67.  Running the SoftwareVAULT Librarian from the CD-ROM in Windows 3.x:

  69.  1.  Due to the CD-ROM being "READ-ONLY" media, you should follow
  70.      the instructions in the next section and install the Librarian
  71.      on your hard drive.

  74.  Running the SoftwareVAULT Librarian from your hard drive in Windows 3.x:

  76.  Note:  You will need at least 15.0 MB of free disk space to install the
  77.         SoftwareVAULT Librarian and its data files.

  79.  1.  Run Windows as instructed in the Windows User's Guide.

  81.  2.  From the Program Manager, select the Run... option in the File menu.
  82.  
  83.  3.  Using the Browse function, select the CD-ROM drive and the program
  84.      on the CD-ROM titled SETUP.EXE.

  86.  4.  Follow the instructions given by the SETUP program.

  88.  5.  Once the SoftwareVAULT Librarian files have been installed on
  89.      your hard drive, and you have returned to the Program Manager in
  90.      Windows, you can run the Librarian from your hard drive while in
  91.      Windows as described next...

  93.  6.  While in the Program Manager, double-click on the "SoftwareVAULT" 
  94.      Program Group and then double-click on the "svlwin.exe" icon.

  104.  Running the SoftwareVAULT Librarian from your hard drive in Windows 95:

  109.  1.  Insert the CD.
  110.  
  111.  2.  Click on Install.

  113.  3.  Follow the step by step instructions.  You may accept the defaults
  114.      for all questions if you wish.

  116.  4.  Once the SoftwareVAULT Librarian files have been installed on your
  117.      hard drive, and you have returned to the Desktop in Windows 95, 
  118.      you can run the Librarian from your hard drive while in Windows 95
  119.      as described next...

  121.  6.  From the Start menu, select Programs/SoftwareVAULT/svlwin.exe.

  123.  7.  Click on the Librarian menu item.  You may also use the shortcut
  124.      if you have created one.
